- Open File Definitions
-
- Note: The Close… button allows you to close files which are currently open. It
- must be used very carefully as it can close files which are still being
- used by another application resulting in, among other things, probable loss
- of data and perhaps a corrupted file. It should only used by experienced
- programmers, primarily for the purpose of closing files which were left
- open when a program crashed. There are subsequent warnings and prompts
- should you click on this button.
-
- Also, if you hold down the <option> key before selecting this menu item, any
- open Font files will not be listed. This is made available since the font files
- listing can be very long under System 7.1 or greater.
